We are not your typical radio-control enthusiasts! - Jeff Potts, PE is SKYBERCAM's Owner, Pilot, and Engineer. Jeff is a licensed Civil Engineer and uses aerial photographs professionally, as an engineer.  Aerial photos serve as design tools for a majority of land development and public transportation projects!  SKYBERCAM's robotic pan and tilt camera system is operated by Jeff's wife Tami. Tami has a passion for photography! With an artistic eye, she has directs the shoots via a real-time video monitoring system. She sees what the camera sees, and she knows what it takes to get breath-taking shots!

Jeff Potts, PE - SKYBERCAM’s Owner, Pilot, and Engineer.  Jeff is a licensed Civil Engineer in Alaska and Oregon, and uses aerial photography as a tool in the design of public transportation and commercial facilities.  Jeff is one of the few engineers in Alaska to have designed projects for the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (AKDOT&PF), based on aerial photographs and record drawings alone (in lieu of traditional land surveying).  Jeff integrated aerial photos inside existing AutoCAD record drawings, producing bid-ready construction documents, without the expense and risk associated with survey crews having to re-survey busy highways.  Jeff has built and flown unmanned aircraft since the late 1980’s and joined the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) in 1990.  Born and raised in Alaska, Jeff studied robotics at High Tech Institute in Phoenix AZ, earning an Associates Degree in Electronics, in 1991.  He later studied Civil Engineering and earned a Bachelor of Science from Portland State University in 1997.  After a four year internship designing highways with R&M Consultants, Jeff became a registered Civil Engineer with the State of Alaska in 2001.  Jeff then served as an engineering Project Manager on urban rehabilitation projects and school site designs with USKH, Inc.  He is now a land development Project Manager in Bend, Oregon.  Jeff has always had a passion for unmanned vehicles, especially those useful in civil tasks.
